The summer merge into winter update...

Hi, its been a long time yet again since I updated. I'm really sorry, I'm not sure many read my blog. but for those that do, thanks.
Its been a busy few months breaking from summer, or what we expect to be summer into the winter. The car earlier said it was 3 degrees, and that was only 6pm. So I'm hoping we don't get snow until the work is done and all my customers have there canvas and prints.
The package deals have gone very well. Ive still got alot of orders to go in, but they will be in on time, lots of editing to do but its all exciting and fantastic.

The last few months,, well, its been a real mixture of assignments and work. Ive done a few small weddings since summer. The weather hasn't been great for these, but we've managed. I was the main photographer for the NABBA bodybuilding shows. I was at Southport photographing for the Nabba magazine that I'm proud to be a part of. And also the Yorkshire Open and Nabba Uk at batley, for these I was official photographer and il be there next year too.
This led to some fantastic fitness shoots. Ive made some great friends through the magazine and shows. My knowledge and approach resulting in stunning results.
The last few weeks have mainly been family portraits. Ive had some great fun with these, and Ive also had some interesting commercial work at the St Pauls Mercure hotel in Sheffield. Lots of variety makes the working week a challenge.

So whats going to be new in 2012 with Lee Archer Photography. Well, I'm always thinking what we can do to make the experience better for the customer. I have already purchased another set of Bowens studio lights to compliment the other Bowens lights. In the new year a new Lens is needed. Mostly a long zoom. Great for shows and weddings.
My local gallery and framer are putting together some new wedding album ideas so IL be looking to offer these to new customers, and of course I already offer the Graphistudio books. There will be some new studio props and a new backdrop ideal for portraits and portfolios.
The main thing that will remain is the customer service and fair price policy. At the moment were doing buy one get one free on prints until Christmas. In January I'm sure we will offer some great deals.
Visit our facebook page for offers, we have over 3000 likes now, which I must thank you for.

Hint and Tips this winter...

I like to offer some basic advice in my blogs(when I remember)
When taking the snow photographs this year, make sure you check your white balance, so the snow looks white. Do this in camera or in edit. I also think a tripod is a good idea as the light wont be great, even though it seems bright.

Make use of landmarks to emphasis the snow. Pictures of a snowy field look better with a random tree or broken gate.

Take spare batteries. The cold weather can make them run out faster! Not many know that.

Il add some more in my next blog, which I promise will be sooner.
Thankyou and see you soon.

Lee
