Hi, its been a long time yet again since I updated. I'm really sorry, I'm not sure many read my blog. but for those that do, thanks.
Its been a busy few months breaking from summer, or what we expect to be summer into the winter. The car earlier said it was 3 degrees, and that was only 6pm. So I'm hoping we don't get snow until the work is done and all my customers have there canvas and prints.
The package deals have gone very well. Ive still got alot of orders to go in, but they will be in on time, lots of editing to do but its all exciting and fantastic.
The last few months,, well, its been a real mixture of assignments and work. Ive done a few small weddings since summer. The weather hasn't been great for these, but we've managed. I was the main photographer for the NABBA bodybuilding shows. I was at Southport photographing for the Nabba magazine that I'm proud to be a part of. And also the Yorkshire Open and Nabba Uk at batley, for these I was official photographer and il be there next year too.
This led to some fantastic fitness shoots. Ive made some great friends through the magazine and shows. My knowledge and approach resulting in stunning results.
The last few weeks have mainly been family portraits. Ive had some great fun with these, and Ive also had some interesting commercial work at the St Pauls Mercure hotel in Sheffield. Lots of variety makes the working week a challenge.
So whats going to be new in 2012 with Lee Archer Photography. Well, I'm always thinking what we can do to make the experience better for the customer. I have already purchased another set of Bowens studio lights to compliment the other Bowens lights. In the new year a new Lens is needed. Mostly a long zoom. Great for shows and weddings.
My local gallery and framer are putting together some new wedding album ideas so IL be looking to offer these to new customers, and of course I already offer the Graphistudio books. There will be some new studio props and a new backdrop ideal for portraits and portfolios.
The main thing that will remain is the customer service and fair price policy. At the moment were doing buy one get one free on prints until Christmas. In January I'm sure we will offer some great deals.
Visit our facebook page for offers, we have over 3000 likes now, which I must thank you for.
Hint and Tips this winter...
I like to offer some basic advice in my blogs(when I remember)
When taking the snow photographs this year, make sure you check your white balance, so the snow looks white. Do this in camera or in edit. I also think a tripod is a good idea as the light wont be great, even though it seems bright.
Make use of landmarks to emphasis the snow. Pictures of a snowy field look better with a random tree or broken gate.
Take spare batteries. The cold weather can make them run out faster! Not many know that.
Il add some more in my next blog, which I promise will be sooner.
Thankyou and see you soon.

Little update
I really am bad at remembering to update the blog. I keep thinking of doing it then get lost in something.
Its usually the pc deciding to turn off, which i think I've sorted. I recently upgraded to windows 7 to speed things along, really thinking i need to switch to Mac.
Ive had a busy month, and not just in the work sense, or shoots. Ive joined the societies (swpp and sislp)which I want to submit some work and become affiliate member. This requires sending work and being assessed. The work has to be creative and at a high standard. I'm hoping it is lol. I put alot of time into the edits and as Ive said before have got new tools for the job.
I'm looking to have work showcased in a new gallery opening in Bawtry, Doncaster soon. It will be near Robinsons shop, so the location is ideal. There are some awesome artists sending work so i need to really up my game to send really nice work. Plus the people running the gallery are great to work with.
The winter is on the way, but theres still time for lifestyle outdoor shoots, and there are still some lovely locations at retford, finningly, Gainsborough, doncaster, so lets do it. From £30 too.
Ive been really disappointed to have to turn down photographing some weddings. The 3 couples have had the same day booked. Id love to work for everyone, but sadly cant. 2012 is looking to be a good wedding year, and 2013 is starting with enquiries. Don't miss your day if you want me to photograph your day. 2012 prices are frozen at 2011 if booked before February. Prices will increase along side stock prices etc, but 2013 prices are still very competitive considering the service i provide. Customer service is my pride.
Please do get in touch with questions, ideas, or help with your photography.
Regards
Lee

Graphistudio is here
Hello, just a quick update to introduce my new wedding album collection from Graphistudio. These Italian made books are stunning and sought after. All my products are of the highest Value, I'm also taking on a new sample from a UK company too to keep adding variation.
The Graphi books come with Dust cover hard back, Leather, Crystal Glance acrylic covers etc. Ive some lovely samples if you wish to see them, they also have a load of my work as examples in them.
The next image is showing the edge of the crystal glance book, the front and back are thick.
These are my actual books, the Big book is 18x14" so its massive and very very heavy.
Don't forget that even though Im a doncaster based photographer I will travel to photograph your wedding day.
Please don't hesitate to get in touch about the wonderful Books, the site will be updated soon with new package deals.
Thanks
Lee

Quick update
Hi, sorry I'm getting slow at updating my blog. Its been a busy few weeks, but I do need to keep this up.
I managed to get a Business Grant from Business Link. This has been a struggle for 7 months and due to a more helpful TSB bank I could get it under way.
This means a new piece of studio equipment, a 90cm Beauty Dish, these give great effects for portraits and model shoots, only suit certain situations, but it has a cover to soften the light too. Cant wait to try it, leaves gorgeous catch lights in the eyes. (catchlight = light reflection in the subjects eyes)
I also upgraded my camera to a massive 21mp full frame, and got one of the sharpest lenses on the market. It is always awkward to post what equipment we have as thieves to target blogs, but its not kept at home.
Ive had a great time with the families who have turned up recently, they really seemed to enjoy there shoots. The children were so well behaved too. I now take deposits for shoots and the sitting fee is £30 with 3 free 7x5 prints. You get great customer service and lovely photographs to cherish.
Wedding bookings continuing to come for next year and 2013. The prices will have to go up a little soon, as the initial price was an introduction to the products etc. So you can still book for next year at the price on site now, and when the price goes up its valid for early 2013 too. Don't forget the graphistudio books and other suppliers I sell.
Thanks and see you soon.

Weekly Update....
Good Morning to you all, its a lovely Sunday morning, and I keep realising Ive left it too long between blogs.
Ive had a pretty cool week. Lots of interesting up coming projects in the world of photography. And interest for 2012 weddings still coming. I was photographing a wedding yesterday at Nottingham, It was at the Council Building which is gorgeous. http://www.nottinghamcity.gov.uk/index.aspx?articleid=5499 It was a really busy day in Nottingham though, and the Bride left Her house by Horse and carriage at 3pm, I had to get into Nottingham and park by the time she arrived at 3.50, I made it in good time although my sat nav was playing games. Parking is a problem, but Talbot street parking lot was good value and close ish. Looked closer on the map!
The staff at the venue were very helpful and it did all go to plan. The place is great for photographs.
Today I'm photographing a gym training session for my photo-flex department. This is for an article in the nabba magazine. Its with a good friend Gary Noakes and over 50's champ Martin Holryd. Both are getting ready for the Mr Universe competition. Of which I'm an official photographer. Which is great fun and backstage is always busy, lively and tense with excitement. My website for photo-flex is being re-built as I type. The old one is still there as a new host is building it. It will have a generic look like http://www.leearcherphotography.co.uk/ but with the photo-flex logo.
It will have much improved galleries and content, and a better layout. I'm looking forward to adding the final touches to it, I get it as a template and add banners and content, of which I can provide for you too.
Have a good day and please follow using the link. thanks to my new follower J king.

A little update..
Hi to you all, I seem to forget to do my blog regular, so here i am having a go at updating.
I have recently been luck enough to work on some websites, I get to do the photography and also help set up the sites.
I have a great supplier of websites, that provides a great service and the cost is great. And of course for a great website you need great photographs.
I have also helped improve the SEO of the sites, for those new to websites this is how well you get found on google.
We all love and use google so this is who we try and impress with our sites.
The site i have helped set up and done photography for is www.sugarbulletgundogs.co.uk and Ive enjoyed working on this project and getting different photos. Its not a world I know anything about and I have no opinion on the sport. I photograph a given subject and that's my job.
I can help anyone get a great website, and help with the general design and photographic side, email me for information.
I use the same company i did for my site, and my fitness site photo-flex is getting re-done very soon.
Im a NABBA approved photographer so need a better site to showcase those fitness photographs.
I am currently running a competition on the facebook page for lee archer photography, where people post a photograph and get people to like it, the highest winner gets a £25 photoshoot in my doncaster studio.
Its great to see people trying to get more likes and get more people on my page. I will soon do a really big competition for a wedding prize. This will take some planning so people can get a fair chance to win etc.
As far as weddings are going, 2012 is booking up fast, the summer months are going, August 2012 is getting busy. Its going to be a real pleasure being there.
This years weddings have been great so far, the weather has been kind to us so far too. I have a wedding in Nottingham on saturday, which will be lovely. The couple have a horse and cart so im looking forward to the magical images I can capture.
There is always new things happening at Lee Archer Photography, I'm getting new wedding books and designs, and also products to show off the quality I sell.
Ok so Ive plugged a few things I wanted to tell you, so now Il give my tip this weeks for the up coming photographers.
Some people like to take slow exposures during the day, this is impossible when the light is bright as the camera metering system will use fast shutter speeds.
Id your camera will take one you need a ND filter, (Neutral Density Filter) which reduces the amount of light entering the camera, thus you can slow down the shutter speed, ideal for rivers etc.
These can be found in many top stores, have a shop around, and for geeky answers about the type, like a ND4,8 etc which is the amount of light it stops, have a google.
I'm happy to offer more advice on this by email, please get in touch.
Please visit my site and have a browse, http://www.leearcherphotography.co.uk

Photo competition this weekend
Hi all. Just thought id let you know theres another competition to win a shoot this weekend, all you have to do is take a pic or use one your really proud of, and post it on http://www.facebook.com/pages/Lee-Archer-Photography/121184764614936?ref=ts

They have to like the page for the vote to count and thats the only rule. If you get the most likes you get a shoot worth £25. Which comes with a free 10x8 print, this is in my Harworth studio. But you can pay the extra for a home shoot, which might be just £5 lol.

I'm working on some new venues for shoots, so if you have any ideas please let me know. I like old buildings, run down places etc.
Just to update on the wedding situation for 2012, Ive now 10 booked weddings, so get in fast. I cant wait, and still got alot to do this year yet. Its such a lovely moment getting the first wedding kiss on camera.
Just a short one today but keep in touch.

Photography Special Offers
We all like offers, in fact we must like them so much Asda even give out vouchers saying they will match any price.
I wont give out price beating vouchers, but will offer a great personal service at a fair price. I'm not the most expensive and not the cheapest. In fact those that are too cheap to believe will be for a reason.
I do regular special offers so people can try me, see my products and tell freinds. This is what building a business is all about. There is nothing better than getting good feedback and someone saying they have recommended me to a friend.
At the moment I'm doing a special offer for a 40x30 canvas with photoshoot for £130. This is a great price for the Doncaster, Retford area. The photoshoot is in my Harworth studio or in your home if local.
The canvas is thick, strong and will last.
Find me on facebook and keep an eye on my offers, the Lee Archer Photography page is simple to watch, just click Like.
There will be a BIG promotion coming soon with a chance to win a Massive prize. You ll need to like the page to be in with a chance to win. All il say for now is the prize is worth over £300.
http://www.facebook.com/pages/Lee-Archer-Photography/121184764614936?ref=ts

Junes photography summary.
ITS HOT
At least today it is anyway. Yesterday was showing signs of heat when I was photographing at a wedding in Finningly, near Doncaster.
I did feel like I would melt, and the church was so hot too, must say the Vicar was the most amusing yet. Really making an effort to make the visitors welcome and he was very helpful for us photographers. Not too dark in there either.
This leads me to a little bit of advice or tips on getting good photos when your at a wedding, as a gentleman asked me yesterday how to turn the flash off on hid dslr.
The gentleman had the camera set to fully auto, so the camera made all the decisions. This is the Box shape on the dial, I told him to set to P mode, and up the ISO setting (light sensitivity) without going into much detail this suited him, although AV setting is better and choose a high ISO and wide F stop.(aperture)
I actually shot fully manual, as I wanted to keep the shutter constant and it was bright enough to change the aperture and leave the ISO not too high.
Enough of the geek stuff, just thought id share a little, modern compacts also have some of these creative functions so have a good read of your manual, you'll get better images in tough situations.
Its been a quiet week of shoot, but alot of editing and sorting different little jobs that need doing but get left. I'm still running a basic shoot fee of £25 and offer a free 10x8 print with that, this is in my home studio in Harworth Doncaster (dn11). I can do the same shoot inhome for around £30.
I will have to increase my prices soon to a more normal average of £35, mainly due to my insurance cost going up as i buy more equipment. The genuine photographers all need insurance so we can look after our customers should something go wrong.
Our mid range prices also include full editing to provide proper images, that are printed at proper labs.
I do keep my prices as low as possible as I work from home, but I also put alot of time into each and every shoot, and its impossible to deliver a high standard for very low cost.
The guys on facebook offering shoots and canvas for £30 will give very basic and sub par products for this. But il not say to not try them as that wouldn't be fair.
I hope to see you soon for a portrait shoot, pet shoot, or a wedding consultation. I also do commercial photography which involves events, and product shoots etc.
On my web page on the about section you'll see the feedback Ive received, maybe this will put any unsure minds to rest, that I deliver what i promise.
Have a lovely day in this heat, and if you have managed not to fall asleep through one of my blogs, well done lol

Weekly update and basic camera review.
Hi to you all. I really should be writing the blog more often. Then I do write it and make spelling mistakes as I try and write it fast.
Anyway, Ive had a really busy week, im not complaining but it was soo hot. I was photographing a Housing roadshow in Northampton, Sleaford and Nottingham. A little different from the weddings and portraits I normally photograph. Infact Ive not done many studio shoots at all. I have done some smiley faces made with water droplets. which was very hard and still not perfect.
Inbetween all this photographing and also fitting in a portrait shoot and a karate Academy shoot, ive been editing. As other photographers will tell you, its not a 9-5 job. Last weeks wedding in Hull with a lovely couple Ian and Marcia is nearly finished. They were a lovely warm couple with great freinds and family.
Now ive nearly sent you to sleep with my actions for the week, I want to cover a question I was asked in the week.
"Lee, i want to buy a camera for general stuff, what do you recommend?"
It would be easy to say just go and buy a Canon and get the expensive one. But thats not really helping anyone. I do shoot with Canon and love it, but for compact cameras theres other things that will appeal more to the average user.
I certainly dont think you need to spend a fortune to get nice crisp images of your trips out and about. My dad bought a Samsung and went out photographing anything and everything, it has face recognition which has its ups and downs but he does get some nice photos. Infact he got one of a Seagull in Whitby and Id be proud to put it on the site, so close too.
Although I said dont spend a full weeks wage, I dont recommend the really cheap either, the vivitar sound good on paper, but dont deliver, mobile phone cam will be better.
There higher priced ones may be ok, but the cheap one I tested wasnt good. I do think the start price of around £49 is ideal, and the Kodak isnt too bad at all.
http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/5594009/c_1/1%7Ccategory_root%7CPhotography%7C14419436/c_2/2%7C14419436%7CDigital+cameras%7C14419441.htm
Ive tested it and its ok for general use, not good for close up.
The next id say would be ideal and its a canon. It actually has the same processor as alot of the pro dslr. Its a very good all rounder.
http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/5595716/c_1/1%7Ccategory_root%7CPhotography%7C14419436/c_2/2%7C14419436%7CDigital+cameras%7C14419441.htm
I know its easy to get lost in the amount of megapixels, but the really cheap camera has such a small sensor, which is the bit that catches the image like a film used to, that the megapixel count is useless. I do recommend you read all about the cameras, look at examples go and look at it, hold it. Ask people on facebook etc.
I dont mind answering emails and giving advice.
Dont forget that if your going out taking photos at night or landscapes etc, get a tripod, and a proper sized one. Also good for self portraits! Plenty of memory cards for holiday and days out, you can get 8gb cards for next to nothing now.
I hope this has been a little helpful. I will try and give a review on something else next week, email ideas if you like

Yesterdays Wedding.
Yesterday May the 21st was a red hot day in Lincoln. I was hired by a lovely couple to photograph there wedding.
I arrived at the hotel, Charlotte House and it was lovely. The roomm was red hot but we still got some lovely photographs. I think we were all glad when the car arrived. It was very kind of the Chauffeur Driver to give me a ice cold bottle of water. Paul Richardson of Lincoln County Chauffeur Cars. http://www.lcccars.com/.
He is a true gent and professional. There will be photographs soon on my website and Paul will have one on his too.
Todays weather is some what of a disappointment, the wind is crazy. I was hoping to get the grass cut and have a tidy up ready for a garden shoot. It will be fun if anything else.
I was going to have a play at some macro photography today, but i dont think anything will be still long enough.
The fitness department photo-flex had a great night Thursday the 19th May. Troy Alves from America came over for USN and I was the official photographer for the evening, followed by dinner at the Clumber Park hotel. It was pretty nice actually. Although they said we were getting cheescake then brought fruit. How rude lol.
Still, its not often you get to have dinner with an Olympian. Thanks to Ken Roscoe of Foodtech for hiring me for USN.
Il update a blog in the next few days, you can follow by email if you wish, I know its not that exciting lol.

Serving Doncaster, Retford, Worksop.
The title as it may suggest is that I only cover those areas. This isnt true but I am trying to make sure my site shows up in google for those searches. This is a tip for anyone trying to enhance the seo of there site.
On a serious note, I do portrait photography in these areas at a small extra fee, still giving great results. I still bring the pro studio lights(bowens) and a white backdrop. Its fun and the kids or you can run jump all over it.
I can of course photograph using your home surroundings, for lifestyle photoshoots. Or even use your garden.
My garden is starting to look really good. The grass is starting to get greener, and the flowers coming through, its an old established garden and is gorgeous for shoots.
Im looking forward to mays weddings, love meeting new people and seeing how I can capture the moment. Creating memories is such a great job. My fitness department also very busy, working weekends is the norm for months to come. Last weekend was fun, photographing the football match between victory fc and the old vic from harworth doncaster, they had the chance to play on the Doncaster Rovers ground at the keepmoat stadium. Very good game.

Wedding season Under way
The wedding season is well under way, and more people are booking for 2012. I do enjoy the consultation part of the wedding service. Its always good to talk about the various aspects of peoples weddings. Il soon be covering a wedding in Hull, then over to lincoln for one too. Although Im a Doncaster photographer, I do travel all over the region.
The studio has been quiet last week, I had some great design jobs to do using some of my photographs so that was an interesting week. Plus the wedding planning side of things kept me busy too.
The weather has been gorgeous, I managed to take a few photographs in Hastings on saturday, the old burnt pier was too much to resist, it was just a shame I couldnt get closer. The problem with photography in the sun is the sheer brightness, I wish I had a ND filter to reduce the light into the camera, giving better sky tones, I did use CP filter (circular polariser) which helps reduce glare etc, this is a must for you budding photographers taking photos of plants, water etc.
Check my facebook page for regular offers, on certain days you can have a mini photoshoot for £9.99. A great way to try our photography service here in harworth.
Until next time, thanks for reading.

Weekly Update
Hi, ive not posted for a week, but I thought Id post and keep you upto date with whats happening etc. Its lovely to start getting some photographs of the garden and wildlife. It will soon be time to start getting the most out of summer and some photo shoots will be in the garden if needed, ive some nice walls made of slate, some nice flower beds and old trees etc, lots to use for effect.
For those who didn't get good wedding photos, theres a few areas we can use to mimic the special day, so you can at least have good photos.
Ive added some new props to the studio, and im picking some gorgeous props for babies up later. If you have any questions about the shoots please ask.
Wedding bookings are still coming in for this year and as soon as June, i do have some dates available for wedding photography in Doncaster and I cover most of Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire.

Some basic camera tips
Hi, as promised im going to give you some basic camera tips. I know this is a blog about lee archer photography but it doesnt hurt to pass on some info so you can take better photos.
Il aim the advice at the beginner dslr user.
The first thing alot of people do when buying a new dslr is buy a big zoom lens, but before you part with your hard earned cash, think what you need the camera for, or what youll want to take photos of the most.
Some of the basic kit lenses are great, not really award winners but can deliver great results. I use Canon so il mostly cover that make. They usually come with a 18-55mm lens, which is nice for most photos, obviously the scope depends what size sensor you have, incase you dont understand what i mean il quickly explain. Most dslr are on a crop sensor, so its not a full 35mm sensor, it magnifies the lens image by 1.6. where as a full frame sensor is 1, as its a full 35mm. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crop_factor
If you want to photograph wildlife then youll probably need a big zoom, so aim for 200mm lens - 400mm so you can get close without spooking the animals. Canon do a 55-250mm lens, but youll not fit much in at close range on a crop sensor. 70-300 is also a good lens. http://www.the-digital-picture.com/reviews/canon-ef-s-55-250mm-f-4-5.6-is-lens-review.aspx
For flowers and general close up youll be ok with a kit lens, yes theres great alternatives like the L series lenses which are top notch, but to learn the basic lens are fine, you can get a good lens with IS which is Image Stabaliser, this will take some of the hand shaking out of the picture for better results, but this doesnt account for movement of an object. http://www.dpreview.com/lensreviews/canon_18-55_3p5-5p6_is_c16/
For landscapes you need a nice wide angle lens, and on the crop (1.6) sensor youll need wider to get the benefit. A good guide is a sigma 10-20mm lens, very little zoom, but very wide angle to fit loads into the picture, so a mountain would fit in even if you were pretty close. there are varients you can get and the kit lens at 18mm at widest will give you nice photos, and even better on a full frame sensor.
You can get some good effects if you get really close to a subject with a very wide angle lense, makes them creative. http://www.warehouseexpress.com/buy-sigma-10-20mm-f3-5-ex-dc-hsm-lens-canon-fit/p1032428
Tripods are essential to landscapes and alot of close up shots, especially where light is limited but il
expand on the finer details of why we choose certain lenses next time, but in the meantime if you have any questions contact me through my site.

New products
Hi, well its a gorgeous day here in Doncaster. Really feeling the sun through my office window, anyway, i thought id just tell you about our products.
We dont just give you the prints and thats it, and although we sell a vast range of top quality products, we dont do the pressure selling im told some of the big companies do. I keep hearing about 'the room' where they show you the results and have you in tears then say "yey, heres a bill for £1500". No were not like that, and thus dont make as much money, but love what we do.
You view the photos in your own time in your own private gallery, you then choose the free print/s and that can be the end of it if you wish.
Should you wish to purchase something wonderful to display your images then we can help.
We do:-
Canvas prints, these are hand made, rock solid and ready to hang, wont warp in the heat. Same great product some others want the earth for, but we sell for a fair price.
Framed Prints, a wide variety of frames all hande made to order, all colours etc styles. These are the best quality on offer.
Acrylic Art, these have the wow factor, from desktop acrylics to wall acrylics. Some are really thick and give a 3d effect. Totally gorgeous.
Then we can do all the gift idea items, mugs, mousemats, key rings, the lot. All great quality.
I must point out we dont sell the cheap and nasty canvas and frames some will offer, theres deals on the net which almost give them away, just check there solid and well made before you go for the bargain.
I hope you all have a great day, come back soon for some photography tips and advice.

Thursdays Blog
Hi, thanks for coming by to view the blog, this week we have been in the Doncaster Frenchgate Centre to show off some of our products, it was a very busy day but it was nice to speak to the people we did meet.
The centre staff are very helpful so a big thanks to them. I was taken on a tour by a cleaner when I couldnt find the parking office so a big thanks to her too.
We will be at a few other places once we decide on a budget, and will certainly return to the Frenchgate. If you have any ideas on special offers you would like to see then please email me, im open to ideas.
The weather here today in Harworth is really nice, the garden is a lovely location for a photo shoot, the backdrop is wild flowers, old trees and some slate wall, its lovely. Lifestyle photoshoots can be alot of fun too. I still love photo shoots in my home studio and the portraits always look great.
Please visit me on facebook, when you get there click the like button, theres often special offers for the group. thankyou.

Hi, well its a gorgeous sunny day here in Harworth, Doncaster. Im just finishing working on a product shoot and then its more editing of the pro boxer/mma fighter shoot from yesterday. Then il have to wash the car, its the done thing on a weekend lol.
The product photo shoot was a tough job, at first seemed easy, but the plastic reflected every bit of light in the studio, so with trial and error got some nice shots, fingers crossed the client like them.
As the title of the post suggest you can subsrcibe to my blog by email, i know there not to riviting but you will be able to keep up with what were doing and special offers Il put on for blog readers only. Also, il add the odd blog about some basic photography tips, to help the begginers etc.

Gorgeous Weather.
Hello, i cant believe how lovely the weather is today. Ive been out delivering the products people have bought from me, canvas and prints mostly. The customers were really happy, the products complimented the portrait sessions we did in my studio and there homes.
I was going to take some random photos when out but struggled to find something different. Its not great around here for landscapes, so will have to travel. Working on some commercial photography this week, which I will really enjoy. I will be at the Retford b4b meeting early in the morning, its a good networking event, nice breakfast too, so far ive met some good contacts from there.
Im still suprised people are booking weddings for 2012, another booking yesterday. Its looking like 2012 will be a very busy year. Some more weddings coming up soon so keep an eye out for my diary.
Im really excited to be getting some new studio lights this week, invested in some even better products to give more creative flare. Bowens are a top class studio light, only the best for my customers.
The mothers day deal is nice and cheap, we all love our mums so ive done a deal that will make it easy for anyone to have a shoot, £17.99 with a free print. Great value, also vouchers available, all they will say is voucher for photo shoot, or any messege you would like on it.
Well, its nearly time for some food, so il update again soon, in the meantime, please join my facebook group.

Weddings starting to book
Hi everyone, its the middle of march and the year is flying by, lee archer photography is taking more wedding bookings, which is good, so ive added some wedding package prices to the website. http://www.leearcherphotography.co.uk/ so you can view and see what you think. Theres something for most budgets, but I dont want to seem price orientated, the service i provide is great, very personal and the after sales service will take some beating.
Its been a busy month in a strange way, arranging new products, sorting out the display banner for the fayres and centres. Also my fitness photography department photo-flex is starting to get busier. I do alot for a magazine as ive probably mentioned and hope to help that grow more this year with exciting articles. I dont have a set working hours so ive plenty of time for crucial editing of your photo shoots.
Theres alot of photographers in doncaster at the minute, more than I thought, so get proper quotes, ask whats hidden, with me nothing is hidden, so you can rest assured youll pay what quoted, and you can pay by credit or debit card too, spreading the cost, see my previous blog.
I hope your all well, take care

Credit and debit cards
Hi again, Ive just completed a deal to take credit and debit cards for my photography service, this will make it so much easier for people to purchase my products. Frames and canvas prints although really good prices still can be too much for some, I hope this will make it better for you all. I know i like to put bigger purchases on the card, Ive also been looking at offering finance but I'm not prepared to do it if it means high interest for you all, so IL come back to that.
Ive had a busy week, plenty of editing and working on a banner for public displays, Fayre's etc. Also just received my t shirts with my logo on them, so il stand out when out and about, stop me and ask questions if you like, i don't mind. And feel free to ask anything, nothing is hidden with me or my business.
The summer will soon be here, and Yorkshire photographers will be busy and covering all aspects of work, we all have our niche, some just do weddings, some just babies, a lady in harworth is so good with specialist baby photos, yeah i do them, but hers are that bit more different, id happily pass her info on if you email.
For some the idea of competition means they will do anything to win business, but for those that love photography and take pride in it we respect each other, and yes we do pass work on if someone is a specialist in that field.
I love doing portraits, weddings, product and commercial, but I also love it when the fitness season starts and I can capture those special moments, for some when they compete they have planned for months and put there heart and soul into the competition, a little like the couple planning the wedding, so much detail that has to be right, I love seeing the happy faces of the wedding couple, same as the winner at a show.
I love what I do, and intend to capture memories for many many years. I also wish the new studio in my village the best of luck, we all have different styles so im sure we will work in the same village fine, ive seen the work and its good, so its upto the customer to use who they wish,
until next time, take care

Nearly March
Hi, its nearly march, i currently do a portrait shoot in studio for £25 and give some freebies, but im going to to have to put the shoot fee up a little, commercial shoots are more as the images are fully released. It wont go up alo, maybe £5, but i do run photography special offers regular. Recently done some photoshoots in peoples homes in rotherham, its good sometimes as people relax in there homes, its alot more time though so do prefer the studio shoots.
Hope everyone is having a great monday

Welcome to my blog
Hello and welcome to my blog for my business lee archer photography. I will try and keep my photography blog simple and not boring. Well,, I can try.
I live in south yorkshire and have been a photographer some time, but my business is new. I have 2 sides, one of which is fitness photography and ive called it photo-flex, and the other side is lee archer photography and I do weddings, christenings, portraits, pet portriats, commercial and product photography.
I really love my work, and like to do all I can to help my clients get the best results, I listen to you and do what you require.
I use canon equipment, I love canon, such variety. I have a home studio, and have wide backdrops so family portriats are great, I try and make it fun, the kids can have the teddies or other toys and props, this helps them relax and we get the best photographs. Also i sell frames and canvas prints, but the quality is great, and the prices dont break the bank.
So the idea is to capture lifetime memories, and give you the best products to show case them. The print company I use is also a master at there own craft, youll struggle to beat the quality, infact id be suprised if you could wihout needing a bank loan :-)
See my website for all the info you neeed, my next blog will explain my approach and technique.
Thanks
Lee
